MONDAY, MARCH 2, 2009 CENTRAL VALLEY COYOTES
NOTES: The Coyotes announce that they will be conducting an open kicking tryout on Monday, March 2, 2009. The tryout will be in Selland Arena (700 “M” Street) in Fresno, Calif. There will be no testing for the participants; evaluation will be solely on kicking performance in the arena. Evaluation will be based on kick-off leg strength, PAT/FG accuracy and onside kick ability. Participants should wear comfortable attire and are advised to get to the arena and warm up on their own prior to the tryout. Kickers are encouraged to bring a kicking tee they are comfortable with. The arena will be opened at 2:00 p.m. and the tryout will begin at 3:00 p.m. The fee to participate is $20 with pre-registration and $30 on the day of the event. SUNDAY, MARCH 1, 2009 BOSSIER-SHREVEPORT BATTLEWINGS
NOTES: The BattleWings are conducting an open tryout for the upcoming season on Sunday, March 1st at Independence Stadium in Shreveport. Anyone who feels they have what it takes to become a professional athlete is encouraged to participate. Registration for all players begins at 12:00 PM (Noon). The tryout will be under the direction of BattleWings’ head coach Jon Norris and his staff. A non-refundable registration fee of $60(cash only) is due the day of the tryout. Participants should come prepared with correct footwear for field turf and proper athletic attire (track spikes are prohibited). Participants will be tested in the 40 yard dash, 20 yard shuttle, and standing long jump. Participants will be evaluated in Arena Football specific drills. Kickers will be evaluated on accuracy and distance.

NOTES: The defending ArenaCup Champion Tennessee Valley Vipers of the af2 will host an open tryout on Sunday, March 1, 2009 in Huntsville, AL. The location of the tryout will be at the DI Sports Training facility, which is located at 7242 Bailey Cove Road. Pre-registration fee will be $50 payable by check or money order. Registration fees on the day of the tryout will be $60 and can be paid by CASH ONLY. Registration for kickers will begin at 11:00 a.m. CST. NOTES: The Steamwheelers will hold their final open tryout on Saturday, February 28, 2009. The Steamwheelers are looking for guys who have a great attitude, outstanding skills, and a strong passion for winning. If you think you have what it takes to be an Arena Football player for the Steamwheelers, then contact Darrick Reeves at the teams’ office, (309) 797-8500 and get signed up in advance. All players will be required to perform the following: 40-yd Dash (linemen will do a 20-yard dash), 20-yd Shuttle Run, 220-lb Bench Press, Long Jump, Agility Drills, One-on-One Drills and Three-on-Three Drills. Cost of registration is $40 in advance or $60 at the door. Players are encouraged to wear workout clothing and plastic cleats/shoes appropriate for synthetic turf. The Open Tryouts will be held at the OS Sports Complex (a.k.a. The Bubble), 5003 North Brady Street Davenport (IA) starting at 7:00 PM. Pre-registration starts at 6:00 PM.

NOTES: The Wildcats will hold its second open tryout on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Lincoln High School (3838 Trojan Trail) in Tallahassee, FL. The tryout is open to all athletes who are at least 19 years of age. Registration will begin at 11:00 am, with the tryout starting at Noon. The tryout will consist of a 40 yd dash, 20 yd short shuttle run, standing long jump, individual position drills, and a team period. All participants are required to bring their own outdoor cleats and workout attire, as well as a $50 cash registration fee which is due the day of the tryout.
